Orlando Divorce Law Firm
The official term for divorce in Florida is "dissolution of marriage."
Florida is a “no fault state” which means that, under most circumstances, the judge isn’t going to be concerned with why you want a divorce. In fact, all that is required for a marriage to be dissolved in Florida is that the marriage be “irretrievably broken.”
Either spouse can file for divorce, and all that has to be proven is that a marriage exists, that one party has been a Florida resident for at least six months, and that the marriage is irretrievably broken.
Every divorce is different: the facts are different, the details are different, and the outcome will be different. What your neighbor, co-worker, colleague, friend, or relative experienced means nothing with respect to your case. Do not assume your results will be the same.
Look to The Moses Law Firm for appropriate legal advice and information: accepting your friends’ and relatives’ advice will likely give you unrealistic expectations, cause your case to drag on indefinitely, and hinder you in the long run.
